Chaii Diaku (2nd Year) :Otherworlde:

  All of his experiences during his first year at the academy had changed his personality a bit. He used to be a little intimidated by others who looked completely different from normal human beings, but he had been influenced to open his mind and accept all things no matter how strange they may look. Chaii is usually optimistic and cheery. He knows quite a bit of pain, confusion, and sadness, and tries his best to encourage positive things even though he can get a little morbid at times.
  Chaii is also very curious and is open to try new things. He'll usually shower others with questions, or act on his curiosity to (hopefully) find answers and put his mind at ease... if not, he'll be worked up over it. His actions and behavior can be questionable at times due to his curiosity and his strange way of thinking.
  Because of his naive and trusting personality, he'll most likely follow any directions given to him if he feels that it's for the good... but he can't tell the difference between good and bad sometimes.

History:

Pre-OW:

 Before he was born, a certain witch had cursed his mother and father. The witch was very serious in her sorcery and had an amazing amount of selective skills, and wanted to take her witchery to another level. She wanted to test her skills on a real test subject, but did not have anyone to test with. Since she was a bit of a softy on the inside, she couldn't bring herself to just take any person. Instead, she decided to set out and find an undeserving family that would bare a child, for she would take the child and use it and not have any feelings towards it.

  At the time, Chaii's mother and father had a problem with doing wrong for amusement or for their own personal desires. Their greediness and bad influence to their three under-aged children (keep in mind that Chaii was not born yet, he would be the fourth child...) was enough to lead the witch to them, and luckily, Chaii's mother was seven months pregnant with him. The witch cursed them, stating that after her fourth child was born, the mother would develop a deadly disease, the father would go into severe depression, and their childrens' memories of them would be erased and they would be sent off to live with other families. Sure enough, all of this happened after Chaii was brought into the scene.

  After a horrible one year of upbringing by his parents, the witch also erased Chaii's memories of his parents and vice versa, then took him in. She raised him up to five years old without any love or signs of affection, for she didn't want to grow to love the child, and she didn't want Chaii to love her back. The witch started her experimenting with Chaii when he was about five and a half years old; most of it was painful and confusing to Chaii, for he didn't really know the difference between happiness and sadness. All he knew was fear. Seeing that most of her experiments were a success, the witch grew a bit mad and got more intense with her experimenting; she attempted to make him serve as a real life voodoo doll by inserting others' DNA into him, she also replaced most of his organs, and injected him with various potions. This mostly explains why he looks the way he does. The color of his irises were originally a deep and dark blue, but changed to a lighter blue due to some mutating, same with his hair color, it used to be a neutral brown color but changed to black. His skin also got a bit paler (not as pale and as his photo... not yet).
  
   Around the time when he was fourteen, a few months away from turning fifteen, he ran away from the witch in fear of more pain and experimenting. He did not know much of the outside world, for he had been kept in the witch's home practically all his life, and just ended up running into where ever, until he felt safe. Unfortunately, he got hit, and run over by a small train. He didn't know the thing was going to hurt him, he didn't even know what it was. At this time, he was dead, and most of his body parts were scattered in different areas around the train tracks. The witch had actually found him right before the train hit him. She was stunned and brought back to her senses after she had seen him get crushed by the train, at that time, she had realized she had gone overboard with testing. She ended up gathering his body parts, cleaning them up, putting them back together and reanimating him. His appearance was almost the same, except for his stitches,  paler than pale skin, and his missing left eye.

  Up to eighteen years old from the time the witch revived him, she stopped her crazy testing and took the time to teach him things about the outside world (including the dangers), and taught him how to speak and write in the English language. She also taught him how to play a song or two on the piano, and let him develop a hobby of doodling and doing hands-on projects. He learned fast and grew a bit more comfortable around the witch (but of course, he often kept his distance when it wasn't necessary to be around her), and she let him move out into the outside world to fend for himself. He ended up staying in a nearby town close to the witch, and heard rumors going around about the Otherworlde Academy. He later brought himself to visit the academy and apply to learn more about Necromancy. He knew some things about it due to the fact that he had lived with a witch his whole life, and wanted to gain the ability to control and improve his necromancy skills.

Year One:

  The beginning of the Chaii's first year was startling. He was pulled into a giant group of students during his first week, and left an uneasy first impression on many... though if he weren't put in the situation, he might have continued to hide and isolate himself from others. The first experience in the crowd opened him up and made him think positively of others... which made it easier for him to push himself to communicate with other students. He has also grown fond of Samhain, the first being to befriend him and the one who dragged him around in the beginning. They also share a class together. Chaii also grew interested in another student by the name of Casper. The other's stitched face and weird appearance made him want to know more about him... but after Casper tried to help ease a pain Chaii had with some sort of medicine (or drug as Chaii calls it,) he has been pondering whether or not he wants to know anything about him anymore. Chaii strongly believes that Casper is planning something to get rid of him, especially after he had been informed on some serious side effects on something Casper gave him.
  Chaii has made some other friends and acquaintances throughout the year, and often goes to Bloody for guidance, and Chrono for comfort. This first year seemed like a train wreck, but that doesn't mean he didn't like it.

Misc. Information:

• He wraps up the sensitive areas on his body. His neck, crooks of his elbows, and back of his knees... The skin on these spots can be easily broken and will cause him to bleed... but he's also very ticklish in those places...
• Awkward. Very awkward.
• He's very uncertain, and often uses words like maybe, probably, I think, I guess and so on.
• Chaii's left eyeball is completely gone, his eye is just an empty socket. He can blink either eye individually, but he usually keeps his left eye closed, as he fears something will crawl into it and nest there.
• He likes to wear dark (kind of goth at times) clothing... but that's slowly being reconsidered since he loves the color, green, so much.
• He has three other siblings that he knows the where-abouts of, but he won't be visiting them anytime soon... not with the way he looks like. All of his siblings are still alive and healthy.
• At times he can get a little morbid, but it's nothing to worry about.
• Chaii can get a little needy.
• His brithday is on the 17th of December, but he doesn't feel like it's a big deal, though when dealing with others' birthdays, he's all for it.
• He will become sentimental with anything he receives as a gift.
• Weighs about 125 pounds...
• He's a bit of a cardboard box hoarder... he likes them a lot. He feels like they take up a good amount of space in his empty room. He thinks of it like some sort of coin collection.
• Chaii often gets animated with his gestures.
• He will cling to almost anyone if allowed...
• Most of the time, he compares his life to the ones in fairy tales. It keeps him entertained and positive.
• Now has a pet eel... It's a Cheel- Chaii eel.
